Red Day - May 16th

CP10: In class we discussed "Rules are Meant to be Broken... Right?" first in 2 District pairs and then as a class, and how this related to rules that are broken so far in Hunger Games. We then took a look at the ELT's (Essential Learning Targets) and discussed marking the texts (digitally or on paper) as we read, looking for examples of these concepts. Hunger Games Reaping Winner of the Day: Chris and Aaron.
Homework: Read chapters 2 and 3 of Hunger Games. Look for and mark examples of Foreshadowing/Flashbacks, Theme, and Metaphor/Motif.

AmLit: In class we read chapter 6 of Gatsby, and used various digital and other resources to supplement the reading. We also took a While-you-read Quiz on the chapter.
