White Day - 01.08.14

Creative Writing: Make sure you have complete, thorough character profiles for the two characters you are going to work with moving forward; blank forms are on your section of the blog, or can be picked up from me. For Friday, use these profiles to begin some writing in the voice of each character. These can be short monologues, personal statements, or whatever you feel you need to get a sense of who each character is.

H10: Be prepared to commit to a poem from the Poetry Out Loud website anthology; practice reading your choices aloud, get comfortable with the language, and don't invest yourself until you feel truly good about what you've chosen! Also, compose an original ode - a poem honoring, celebrating, or highlighting that which you love about your subject. This should be at least 15-20 lines, focused on a single subject, and may be honest, sarcastic, loving, serious, funny, or any tone you like. You do not need to use a specific rhyme structure, but may wish to experiment with creating your own patterns. Here are some examples:
