CP10: Explore the Poetry Out Loud website (linked on the right side of the blog) and try to find a poem that excites or intrigues you. We will work on refining your choices on Monday. If your take-home Animal Farm test was not complete today, it MUST be ready to hand in on Monday, as well.
H10: Select a poem from the Poetry Out Loud website (not another link on the blog, not another book or website: just from the Poetry Out Loud collection) that strikes your fancy. Be prepared to commit to your chosen poem and begin working on it in earnest. Please also parse (labeling tone, emotion, gestures, and other techniques you can apply to each line) the poem "Keeping Things Whole" by Mark Strand.
AmLit: FINISH The Road by Monday; you will have some work to do with the text, and should be prepared to write and think about both the ending and the overall journey of both characters throughout the text. You should finish your FIFTH JOURNAL ENTRY if you did not get to in class: prompts are still on the blog, in the same document. You will have time to continue working on your "Save the World!" research project during class, so focus in reading if you need the time.
