Creative Writing: Create your own Shakespearean-style sonnet (fourteen lines, iambic pentameter, ABAB-CDCD-EFEF-GG structure - check today's presentation linked on the blog for more info), and start to consider the idea, theme, or topic you will focus on for your final unit project. Be prepared to share a revised, polished draft of your last piece of short fiction before the end of the week, as well.
H10: Make sure your completed essay draft is in your folder, ready for me to give feedback, before next class. I am available after school today and Wednesday for extra support, if you wish, but will require some extended work time after school if I don't see a draft by Thursday.
Also, please bring back the surveys we discussed in class, be ready to talk about communism, and bring in some piece of propaganda - either a print ad from a newspaper or magazine, a website, a TV commercial, a political ad, or...? - that we can deconstruct and discuss together.
