AmLit: Come prepared to read or recite your chosen poem in class on Friday. Memorized poems will receive extra credit, essentially, so do your best to get these words into your brain! Remember to focus on the emotions and tones that will emphasize the meaning of your poem, and be sure you understand the meaning of the poem or you will have a very tough time sharing it richly. I will collect your poem with your notes on it, so please be sure to have your notated copy with you. If you need to change your poem, feel free to do so: your poem should be something you connect with on a personal level, somehow!
