AmLit: I am not here today; my husband and I are taking our little guy to a doctor's appointment in Boston (everything is fine!), so I can't be reached by email during the day, either. Please be sure to share any work you finish today IN YOUR SHARED FOLDER so that I count it as completed! Today, in this order, please do the following:
1. Read Chapter 8 of The Great Gatsby and complete the Chapter 8 Summary-in-Images "Quiz" linked here.
2. When you are done with that activity, have someone peer edit your introduction. If your intro is not done, DO IT. If if is done, copy and paste this document (Peer Editing for Introductions) below your intro to get feedback from a classmate.
3. Homework tonight is to read these helpful hints for writing a supporting/body paragraph of an essay, and write a rough draft of your first body paragraph.
So...to recap...by the end of class today, you should have TURNED IN your Chapter 8 image quiz, and SHARED a completed outline and peer-edited introduction.
