White Day - 11.13.12

CP10: Come with at least a partial outline; you must commit to a topic, and be prepared to workshop thesis statements and start collecting evidence. We will also FINISH the book together in class, but you may read ahead if you feel like that will help you get started on your essay outline.

H10: By next class, Thursday, you should have a rough draft of your essay ready to review.

  • You are not getting directions for your conclusion YET; attempt a "freestyle" conclusion in whatever style or form you think best fits your essay, and we will discuss strategy together during next class.
  • You should finish reading Maus II this week, at your own pace, and be ready to return the book before the break.
  • On a mostly unrelated note, if you did not get a chance today to look at the Poetry Out Loud website, please do so. You do not have to produce or "do" anything specific; just be familiar with what is on the site, and explore some of the poems to see if anything starts to catch your attention.
