Red Day - 11.07.12

AmLit: All four of the of the activities listed below must be completed by HALFWAY THROUGH the block on Friday. That might mean that you use your time today very effectively, and leave yourself no homework, or that you do some work between now and then so you can quality-check during class.

  1. Pick a theme, symbol, or motif from this sheet and start marking quotes in your book with post-it notes or a list of page numbers. You should have at least four or five quotes selected in order to be sure that a) you can actually find quotes for your topic, and b) you understand the topic well enough to find quotes.
  2. For each of the SAT vocab words, come up with a personal connection of some type.
  3. Fill out the character chart as thoroughly as possible; work with a friend, if you like!
  4. If you need to make up a quiz, do so using the double-entry journal form. Be thorough, and show me not just that you read, but that you thought about what you were reading as you did.
There is no extra reading being assigned, as we will work with the next chapter together, so catch up now if you must! A chapter 4 quiz will be our first priority on Friday.
